OTAMATEA OLIVE OIL
The Olive Grove of 1800 trees was established in the year 2000 with four varieties of olives;
Koroneiki, Frantoio, Picholene and Leccino
2016 Harvest is complete and the Oil is of Vintage quality. The Koroneiki trees harvested produce oil of the highest quality and yes our oil is exclusively Koroneiki.
A long hot dry summer autumn ensured a bumper crop and high quality Oil.
Exceptionally large crop and fruit set meant for a late harvest with Koroneiki not harvested until Mid June resulting Oil is a vibrant lime green, flavoursome oil, with excellent texture, that will be enjoyed by all.
For the technically minded 420 trees grossed 6.2 tonnes of fruit. Koroneiki are the smallest of the Olives we grow (no bigger than a pea) so to harvest over 16 kgs per tree is a fabulous result. The best of the tress yielded up to 20kgs. In excess of 800 litres of the highest quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil a 13% yield.

No additives or preservatives have been added during pressing or bottling and contents are 100% pure natural Extra Virgin Olive Oil and hold
NZ Olives Certification.
